Avalon (a poem)
There's a place I know where I can go,
Where Gods and Earth connect.
And I bury my hands in the soft sweet sand,
As a way to show respect.
Then some faeries and I climb high up on the rocks,
Just to watch the Sun go down.
Then we go back home to the great big dome,
And everyone gathers round.
There's a man in a skirt
Sitting alone at the fire,
Blowing air through a pipe,
As the flames rise higher and higher.
We tell stories, and drum,
We sing, dance, and chant.
We TALK to each other,
And occasionally rant.
And we challenge each other,
And we show support and love.
We can see the connection,
Between-Below-and Above.
Now as I stand by my brother and he stands by me,
And we watch the Sun come up,
I say to myself, "What a beautiful trip,
I believe I have filled my cup
